My yoga journey started with a few classes when I was in college in 2005.  Although I didn’t fully connect with the practice until I had been working a few years into my corporate job, in my mid-twenties.  I was sore from sitting all day (duh!) and developed upper back and neck problems.  To help alleviate the pain, I attended yoga classes at the gym.  I was quickly drawn to power yoga so I could get a workout in and left my gym membership behind.

I continued developing my practice when I moved to Boston from Santa Cruz, CA and found a yoga studio down the street from my apartment in Brookline.  I went almost every day, attending a variety of genres of yoga classes.  As my practice deepened and my internal awareness grew, I was drawn mainly to slow flow vinyasa.  I do love all kinds of yoga though and I enjoy shifting my personal practice to the energy I need in that moment.  Variety is the spice of life!

In 2018, back in California, I got laid off from my job.  It ended up being a blessing. One reason being that I finally had the time to go even deeper into yoga comprehension.  I spent a month at The Sanctuary, Koh Phangan, Thailand attending a 200-hour yoga training with Swara Yoga School.

In my classes, I am determined to teach towards student self-awareness using breath to invigorate physical movement, relaxing the mind.  Additionally, I am passionate about spreading the teachings and my personal experiences in a conscious, exploratory, fun and open way.  The goal is getting to know ourselves and our collective journey.  And to FEEL GOOD!

I moved to Bozeman in October 2018.  This community is amazing, and I am beyond grateful to be a part of it.  When I am not on the mat you can find me running my E-commerce Consulting Business, climbing, hiking up mountains, learning how to ski, reminiscing about sailing, picking up my guitar, and finding water… whether it be a hike or a fight away ☺
